Since Santa Claus gave us a trip to Disneyland for Christmas, we figured we better go. This is the first time we've gone on a full-on vacation, just our own little family. This is the letter we received from Santa Claus, along with our souvenir tickets, lanyard/wallets and luggage tags.
Daddy made the kids some lap desks for Christmas, complete with matching bags for crayons. These made the drive down to Southern California so nice!
So early in the morning on our family's 7th anniversary, we got in the car and drove down to California. It actually turned out to be a great drive. We stopped in Vegas for lunch, and of course at Tommy's for dinner (because what Cundick boy doesn't stop at Tommy's when in Southern California?).
The kids did really well on the drive, not much fighting. Pmc had prepared some great notebooks for them to journal in throughout the trip. We also got a few "play packs" that were Disney themed - they each included a mini coloring book, a few crayons and some stickers. All this, plus some good discussions and a few snacks kept everyone pretty content throughout the long drive.
Before we left, Pmc expounded on Santa's schedule a bit and printed out this baby for us! In case you didn't notice yet - Pmc really made this trip awesome with his planning skills.
We arrived pretty late at Pmc's cousin PM's house, the kids were already asleep so we unloaded them into sleeping bags and got to sleep as quick as we could to enjoy our first full day in the park. We woke up and got to the park right around opening and parked. This morning was kind of the funnest because the excitement and novelty was so strong!
We let the kids lead the way, with Pmc's knowledge of which fast passes to get and where to be at what time helping us along.
They boys really loved the treehouse.
Arc didn't mind the occasions when she had to wait while we toddler swapped some rides, as long as there were snacks!
Cpc LOVED space mountain, even if he looks a little terrified. It was not Cdc's favorite. Pmc and I were both a little nervous that first time taking them on Space Mountain, because neither of us realized we would have to sit where we couldn't be by Cpc. We weren't sure if it would be something that would affect his SPD poorly or not.
Waiting in line was actually not too bad, since we went in January and Pmc knew so much about which rides to do fast passes on, we enjoyed the family time!

We chose just the right time to stop and eat dinner right near where Fantasmic! would be, and ended up with perfect seats for it. Cdc and Arc each took a little nap before it started, they sure were wiped out! After Fantasmic, we headed to the car and drove home for another late night at PM's house.
