Christmas Time is Here!!!

We FINALLY welcomed in Christmas-time with some snow this week. Without a Christmas tree (since we figured it wasn't worth it to get a tree for 2 weeks before we left to Utah), the lack of snow really made it hard to believe it was December!

Cpc and I got some good snow-play in before the rain came that evening to destroy it. At first he was a little skeptical:

But in the end, he really loved the snow, and refused to go inside for nearly 2 hours. However, he did spend a majority of his time in this position:

Also this week: we enjoyed our ward Christmas party, and cpc enjoyed his first Sunday in Nursery. He is technically not 18 months until next week, but since I have my calling in the Primary, and Pmc is in Elder's Quorum....we really had no choice. He loved nursery, and didn't even have a hard time when I came in to do singing with the nursery and then left! I think he's a social bug!

And that's about it folks! We are headed off to Utah on Wednesday, and can hardly wait!

A Little of This and That

Okay, we only have minutes before we have to leave....but I don't want to fail getting a post up this week, because things are getting pretty crazy around here.

First...pmc finally received a calling in the ward. He kind of had it figured.....he's been called as 1st counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency. So now we feel like a SUPER busy little family, rather than just a busy little family. We are both glad that we feel so needed in this ward, it's a nice change for us....but it certainly isn't easy!

Next, I felt very privileged to give a "guest lecture" of sorts this week in one of the classes pmc assists. We took cpc into his infancy class and demonstrated together some of his developmental stages. It was a lot of fun to "team-teach" in an academic setting (we've team-taught at church before).

We also switched cpc to his 18-24 month clothes, so that we won't have to worry about that while we are getting ready to leave for a month. Unfortunately, there were a few things that we discovered should have been with the 12-18 month clothes.....such as these pajamas that pmc wore when he was little:

Other than that, we really have little to share, and not much time....other than the fact that I got a big compliment from pmc this week. This is how our hash browns turned out a few nights ago:

Yup, entirely gray! They looked disgusting and were barely edible. I told pmc it was my worst cooking yet.....and he told me if that's my worst then I'm doing fantastic! I love how he turns something so miserable into something good.
