It's been a while... again...

We haven't posted in a few weeks, and this isn't even going to be a full post (more to come in the next couple of days.) First off, Atec didn't have the surgery that was originally scheduled for last Thursday on her ovarian cysts. We're going to wait to have those taken care of in Syracuse.
We've been going at a frantic pace trying to see Bear Lake one last time and spending time with Atec's family over the 24th, then camping with my family this past weekend up Big Cottonwood Canyon. There's plenty to share about, but we don't have the time this morning.
Our plan is to get the big stuff packed up on Wednesday night, then the little stuff Thursday morning (which probably means afternoon too!) We'll drive out Friday morning at 6 AM. We'll see Nauvoo and Carthage in Saturday afternoon and evening, and if all goes well we'll be in Liverpool, NY by 4 PM on Monday afternoon.
Music and the Spoken Word this morning was both good and hard for us to listen to. The message was about the 'good in goodbye.' Leaving our home and families and friends is going to be a real challenge for us, but one that we believe and hope will make us better. We hope that each day in New York we experience something good that we can see came through our saying goodbye.

Well I am sure that your friends and family in Utah will miss you, but we sure are excited to finally meet you out here in NY!

Although it is sad to leave the family and friends, it is SO much fun to be "on your own" out there! You really have to rely on each other. If you need a place to stay along the way, let us know! We are in Columbus!
